About Oboz

Founded in 2007, Oboz is an outdoor shoe company based in Bozeman, Montana.

Oboz thinks about shoes through a lens of biomechanics and engineering. This design philosophy delivers comfortable footwear that enhances your performance and experience on the trail, whether you’re hiking, running, portaging or simply exploring.

Happy feet are key for happy hikes. A standout feature in all Oboz shoes is the footbed, which adds support and cushioning to every step. The same level of care and attention goes into every part of every shoe – from toe to tread and inside-out.

Oboz hiking shoes and boots are tested in the wilds of Yellowstone National Park, so you know they can stand up to the rigours of trail life. Rugged hiking boots offer ankle support for heavier loads or higher-mileage days, while light trail shoes let you move quickly through mountainous terrain. Oboz’s B-Dry waterproof technology keeps feet dry on soggy spring hikes and wet winter walks. And when the temperature rises, Oboz sandals offer reliable support and grip for beach days and weekend wanders.

Environmental stewardship is central to the Oboz ethos. In partnership with Trees for the Future, Oboz plants a tree for every pair of shoes sold. To date, Oboz has helped plant more than five million trees. And in 2023, Oboz was certified as a B Corp, meaning it meets high standards for social and environmental accountability.
