Altra took one of their most-loved road shoes and gave it a cold-weather upgrade. The Escalante 4 keeps the zero-drop platform and wide toe box runners rely on, and pairs it with a Smartwool Merino blend upper that adds warmth without losing breathability. Whether you’re logging early morning kilometers or chasing daylight on a crisp shoulder-season trail, this limited edition collab delivers comfort, responsiveness, and room to move.

Smartwool Merino blend upper adds natural warmth and breathability for cool-season road runs
Altra EGO™ midsole cushions impact and stays responsive through speedwork and daily miles
Original FootShape™ fit gives toes room to splay naturally on longer efforts
Zero-drop platform supports a low-impact stride and midfoot landing
FootPod outsole is mapped to the bones and tendons of the human foot to promote natural movement
