Bigger than a hatchet, yet smaller than a full sized axe, this felling axe hits a sweet spot of mechanical advantage and packability. The hand-forged high-carbon steel blade makes short work out of new wood and old dry wood, holding its edge well and resharpening easily. Your power is delivered by an ergonomic ash wood handle, that is comfortable in hand and flows naturally with your swing. The included leather mask and sling let you carry the axe with ease and protect the axe, and you, while in transport.

• 1066 High-carbon steel blade is tough, holds an edge well, and is easy to resharpen. If you are carving green wood, or wet wood, be sure to clean your blade before storing it. A little rubbing alcohol will remove sap and other muck, once clean put a little oil on the steel to ensure this axe gives you decades of enjoyment.
• Curved convex edge bites deeply into wood and releases easily.
• Ash wood handle is strong, tough, and has been waxed and treated with linseed oil, so it can handle the elements.
