MEC Laval celebrates a new season with a fresh look, expanded product offerings and more community events.
Laval, QC – October 7, 2025 – Mountain Equipment Company (MEC), Canada’s most trusted outdoor retailer is reinventing and reinvigorating it’s Laval store and invites the community to join and celebrate a new season with MEC Laval at 2615 Boulevard Daniel-Johnson, adjacent to CF Carrefour Laval.
Building on strong growth and renewed momentum since returning to Canadian ownership, MEC has refreshed the Laval location to be more relevant to Quebec’s outdoor community by creating a destination that combines top name regional and global outdoor brands with deep local expertise, and increased community connection.
Since 2016, MEC Laval has been a destination for Quebecers passionate about getting outside—whether snowshoeing in the Laurentians, skiing in Lanaudière, or camping and climbing across the province. Nearly a decade later, the store is being reinvented to better serve the local community.
“As someone who has spent a lifetime on Quebec’s trails and slopes, I know how deeply the outdoors is woven into our identity,” says Shaun Campbell, MEC’s Regional Retail Manager. “With this refreshed Laval store, our goal is to foster a true community hub, driven by local staff expertise, focused on four-season activities, and strong connections with outdoor groups and organizations who make this region thrive. Our team lives these adventures alongside our members, and we’re passionate about helping families and outdoor enthusiasts get the skills, gear, and confidence they need to enjoy everything Quebec has to offer, year-round.”
While proud of the offerings in all its locations across Quebec, MEC Laval it is looking to integrate more deeply into the local outdoor culture to create an exciting vibrant in-store experience for its customers and local brands.
“In Laval, our merchant team has curated an assortment that brings together the best in outdoor adventure,” says Chris Speyer, MEC’s Chief Merchandising Officer. “Members will see more of the world-class brands they love, like Patagonia, Arc’teryx, The North Face, Salomon, and Rossignol alongside enhanced presentations from Canadian and Quebec-based brands such as Ciele, Kombi, Norda, Indyeva, Kamik and more. These products are inspired by the very trails and playgrounds Quebecers explore every day, and we’re proud to bring them together under one roof”.
The wider selection of products is just the start of what customers will experience in the refreshed store. Visitors can expect a full-service ski and bike workshop, expert staff who know the region and live the activities, and a renewed focus on community—through seasonal clinics, workshops, product demos, and partnerships with local outdoor groups.

The event will feature interactive brand activations, expert-led demos, opportunities to connect with local outdoor organizations and customers over the weekend will be some of the first to see new winter gear on display and benefit from some special offers in-store to celebrate.
