Petzl Gully Hammer Ice Axe

The GULLY is an ultra-light ice axe for technical mountaineering, steep skiing and big mountain objectives. Its tapered re-curve pick and curved shaft make precise placements and secure swings easier when the terrain gets steep, while the adjustable TRIGREST handrest lets you quickly shift into climbing mode without tools. A compact 45 cm length keeps it easy to carry on approaches and transitions, while the low-profile hammer and optional weights add versatility when you need to clean holds, place protection or drive the pick into hard ice.

• Holes in the pick reduce weight while providing an attachment point for a carabiner when carrying the axe
• Tapered 3 mm steel re-curve pick makes precise placements easier and releases cleanly from hard ice
• Supportive head surface provides a comfortable grip when carrying the axe in piolet-canne position
• Grooved shaft improves grip and control during technical ice climbing
• Low-profile adze and hammer let you clean ice from holds or hammer pitons when needed
• TRIGREST handrest adjusts quickly without tools, letting you move your hand into climbing position as the terrain steepens
• Optional weights add striking power and improve pick penetration when climbing very hard ice
• Compact 45 cm length keeps the axe easy to carry on approaches and practical for technical climbing
• Beveled spike makes it easier to secure the axe to a pack without catching or damaging the fabric
