Updated with the clever shock cord strap from the LT and more efficient LEDs, the Swift RL is now lighter and brighter than ever. At only 92 grams, the Swift RL is light enough and small enough to throw in your running vest, hip belt pocket, or really anywhere. Packing up to 1200 lumens and Petzl’s reactive technology, the Swift RL has plenty of power to help you see the light. Petzl’s reactive lighting technology adjusts your headlamp’s beam pattern and light output for you. An onboard sensor reads the ambient light of your environment and uses that info to decide how bright your light should be. With reactive lighting you can let your headlamp pick the right mode while you stay focused on dodging roots and finding that next hold. You still get standard modes if you prefer them, and the red lighting mode is great for early starts — especially when you’re sharing a tent with those more interested in sleeping than hiking.

  • Reactive lighting mode – up to 1200 lumens for 2-70 hours
  • Standard lighting, four modes – boost: 1200 lumens for 6 seconds, high: 800 lumens for 2 hours, medium: 190 lumens for 7 hours, and low: 10 lumens for 100 hours
  • Red light mode – steady: 4 lumens for 50 hours and strobe: 4 lumens for 300 hours
  • Reactive lighting customizes your headlamp’s output to best match your current conditions, from how bright the light is, to what type of beam it uses – flood light, spotlight or a combination
  • Reactive lighting sensor will also turn your light off for you when it detects there is enough ambient light
  • Red light preserves night vision and has both steady and flashing modes
  • 6-second boost mode activates with a double-tap to the side of the light, giving you direct access to 1200 lumens
  • Easy 1-button operation works well with gloved or cold hands
  • USB-C recharging makes it easy to charge your light, taking 6 hours to fully charge from a computer’s USB port
  • 5-level battery status indicator lets you know how your battery is doing, both when charging or in use
  • IPX4 weather protection keeps your light shining in pouring rain
  • shock cord strap has a cradle for the back of your head to limit bounce when you’re on the move
  • Headband features reflective stitching to help keep you seen
  • Lock-out mode keeps the light from turning on while in transit
  • 10 lumen reserve mode runs for 2 hours, ensuring you don’t get left in the dark
