Health Canada recently issued a recall for three styles of Filzer lubricant, stating that these products “are not provided with the required child-resistant closures and do not have proper hazard labelling required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 (CCCR, 2001) under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA). The lack of required warnings and lack of child-resistant closures could lead to improper use or storage of the product and present a risk of injury to consumers.”
The Filzer bike lubricants with improper labelling and lack of child-resistant closures are:
- Filzer Dry Chain Lube, 180 ml
- Filzer Wet Chain Lube, 180 ml
- Filzer Hippy Chain Lube, 180 ml
If you wish to return your Filzer lubricant due to the lack of required warnings and lack of child-resistant closures, please bring it to an MEC store, where you’ll receive a full refund.
