We have recently been notified of a recall for Petzl Scorpio Eashook Lanyards manufactured and delivered in 2021. Affected lanyards may have carabiners that can, in rare instances, stick in the open position and pose a fall hazard. At this time, Petzl asks that you stop using your Scorpio Eashook Lanyard until you can ascertain if it is affected by this recall. Instructions can be found at the Petzl recall page.
If your lanyard falls within the affected batch codes, follow directions on the Petzl recall page to receive a refund or exchange for your product. You may also return affected units purchased at MEC to any MEC location for exchange or refund.
This recall only affects the Petzl Scorpio Eashook Lanyard and not the Petzl Scorpio Vertigo Lanyard also sold by MEC.
