MEC is announcing a voluntary recall for Shuttlecraft carriers from purchase order 0707760 that were bought after March 9, 2026. Child carriers associated with this purchase order may contain a plastic plate within the shoulder strap assembly that could fracture under certain conditions.
MEC is making this voluntary recall after identifying a potential issue with a plastic plate used in certain child carriers from the affected purchase order during testing. To date, MEC has not received any reports from customers of injury or adverse health effects related to the affected product. Consumer safety is our priority and MEC has removed the affected products from sale in stores and online and is conducting this voluntary recall in cooperation with Health Canada. Based on the information available to date, other MEC Shuttlecraft carriers from different purchase orders are not affected as they were manufactured using plastic plates from different production sources.
MEC is asking that you check the blue tag inside the lower main pocket for the purchase order (PO) number.
If the PO on your carrier is 0707760, please stop using the product and return it to MEC for a refund.
