We have recently been notified of a recall for some Backcountry Access (BCA) Tracker 4 avalanche transceivers sold after June 1, 2021. Some units sold after this date, either separately or as part of a snow safety package, can suffer breakage of the plastic on/off switch resulting in the loss of proper function of the transceiver.
BCA has asked that you stop use of your Tracker 4 until you can verify if your transceiver is affected. Transceivers with serial numbers starting with either 21H05 or 21H06 are included in this recall. The serial number can be found inside the battery door.
