Whistler Search and Rescue (WSAR) is a volunteer-led, non-profit society committed to delivering mountain, technical rope and avalanche rescue services throughout the Whistler and the Sea to Sky corridor of British Columbia. MEC is excited to team up with Whistler Search and Rescue. Together, we have a shared commitment to helping our communities get out in the mountains safely and responsibly. Being well prepared with the right gear and knowledge is an important part of every outdoor adventure.
Every time you buy an MEC Pack at our MEC Whistler store, 5% of sales go to Whistler Search and Rescue Society. You can also keep an eye out for community programming and educational initiatives led by knowledgeable WSAR volunteers and MEC Staffers.
